Puede
que uno –como es mi caso— no sea partícipe de la forma en que el Sr. Frank
Sinatra llevó su vida; pero sin lugar a duda hay que admitir que es una de las
grandes luminarias de la canción de los estados unidos y del mundo.
La
potencia de su voz, lo imponente de su persona en el escenario, en fin, que no
era alguien que pudiera pasar desapercibido en modo alguno. Aun hoy --a poco mas de 20 años
de su muerte-- continúa siendo un referente y de mención obligatoria cuando se
citan a los mejores intérpretes de la música de todos los tiempos…
A
mi juicio, uno de los factores claves del éxito del Sr. Sinatra, adicional a lo
antes dicho, radica en las letras de los temas que interpretaba.
Aunque
muchos lo recuerdan por sus emblemáticos temas “New York, New York” y “My Way” (también famoso en la voz de Elvis Presley), quiero en este post rendirle
tributo citando tres covers de otros temas que él hiciera famosos.
